Whether you are a day hiker, backpacker, or an outdoor novice, Hiking Idaho has the guidebooks to help you discover Central and Southwest Idaho.
NEW! If you appreciate photography “off the beaten path” take a gander at the new 2018 Idaho Wilderness Calendar. Scott Marchant, a Boise-based hiking guidebook author and landscape photographer, captures 12 stunning images from around the Gem State. Click here for more information and to purchase.
After an arduous and exploratory summer discovering new trails, Scott Marchant is excited to announce the completion of his newest hiking guidebook—The Hiker’s Guide McCall & Cascade (2nd Edition). The 240-page guidebook showcases 65 of the greatest walking adventures in the mountains near McCall, New Meadows, Cascade and Stolle Meadows.
Look for the newest addition to the Hiking Idaho portfolio — jigsaw puzzles! The puzzles are created from the photography of Scott Marchant and include some of Idaho’s most beautiful destinations including Sawtooth Lake, Alice Lake, the Rapid River and Summit Lake. There is even a fantastic great gray owl puzzle — o.k., Scott didn’t take this photo — his good friend Eric Hansen captured this beauty. There are 9 puzzles to choose from in two sizes: 16″ x 20″ with 504 pieces and 18″ x 24.5″ with 672 pieces. Click here for more information and to order.
If you are heading to the Salmon River, Sawtooth, Pioneer, White Cloud, Boise, West, Owyhee, or Smoky Mountains, our guidebooks will help you discover the best hiking trails in the area.
