Based in Boise, ID for more than a decade, Hiking Idaho is basically a one-man operation managed by me—Scott Marchant. I began the business in 2008 while residing in Stanley and wrote my first guidebook, The Day Hiker’s Guide to Stanley, ID, in 2009. Today, the business has grown to include five hiking guidebooks, an annual Idaho wilderness calendar, landscape puzzles, greeting cards and other products that personify the Idaho wilderness.

My passion for this business is founded on the transformative power of investing time being in the wilderness. I hike, photograph and research all the material that ends up in the guidebooks, calendars and other products. My goal is always to provide other hikers and those passionate about the wilderness with compelling, informational, accurate and beautiful guidebooks and products. The result is a combination of not only my own work, but also the input of an excellent design and editing team. I truly hope that those of you using the Hiking Idaho guidebooks discover new destinations and outdoor adventures.

Shipping

All orders placed with Hiking Idaho for shipment within the United States will ship within 48 hours via standard U.S.P.S. delivery. If you desire faster shipment or if you want your purchase delivered outside the United States, contact us at scott@hikingidaho.com to make arrangements.
