Hiking Idaho Guidebooks

All of our guidebooks have been hiked, written, and published in the last 7 years by the same author, Scott Marchant, giving you the most up-to-date trail information available. Our guidebooks are filled with relevant information, great maps, outstanding photography, and inspirational text.

Topographic Maps and Photographs

Unusual to most guidebooks, all of the Hiking Idaho guidebooks include a portion of the relevant 1:24,000-scale topographic map(s) for each hike. The maps (also known as 7.5-minute quadrangles) were produced by the U.S.G.S. and are the most detailed maps available. The maps allow you to visualize the topography and design off-trail adventures. All of the books include black-and-white photography (both the McCall & Cascade and Idaho Sawtooth Country guidebooks include color photography) so you can get an idea of the scenery you will see.
